Aunt Kelly, Uncle Rob, and Uncle Steve arrived earlier today and met up with us for the first time at the banquet, which, despite its entertaining start, didn't end up providing the warmest welcome considering it started drizzling halfway through dinner. Oh, did I mention it was an outdoor banquet?
The drizzle turned into pouring rain which had the crowd rushing to find cover. We had the brilliant idea of sitting under a table, which worked well at first to keep our heads dry but ended with us sitting in a giant puddle. Splashing in said puddle was the highlight of the evening for Kate, but I'm fairly certain she's the only one who got any enjoyment out of getting soaked.
The aftermath wasn't pretty for any of us, but at least we're already able to laugh about it!
