Aloha Reception

Tonight Seth and Stephanie graciously watched the girls for us so that we could attend the Ironman Aloha Reception at the Hulihe'e Palace. Apparently the palace, now a museum, once served as a vacation home for Hawaiian royalty, but tonight, its backyard was a lovely setting for a cocktail party.







The highlight of the night was the performance by the young hula dancers who had also greeted us with leis at the entrance. The older girls were very talented, while the younger children were just adorable!



It was a nice evening out without the kids and a fun way to kick-off race week now that the town is filling up with Ironmen!
