Our Little Picasso

Today we finally opened up the paints that Emily got for Christmas. She took to it right away and showed herself to be a real natural!




This is just the beginning of many more masterpieces to come!

Cousins Galore

Today we went down the shore to celebrate Christmas with the other side of my family, where there were plenty of kids to keep Emily entertained.



After coloring with Kyleigh, she showed off her athletic side playing football with the boys.




But even all those cousins were no match for her favorite uncle!

Christmas Night

We finished off the day at Mom-Mom and Poppy's, where the piano was too close to even more presents to hold Emily's attention for too long.



Once she spotted the rocking horse, she couldn't wait to see what other great gifts were waiting for her.







Thank you, Mom-Mom, Poppy, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Rob, and Uncle Steve! Even with all of her wonderful presents, Emily still remembered what the day is really about and wanted to remind the rest of us:

After such a long day, Emily was ready to relax and cuddle up with Poppy and Mom-Mom, but Daddy was the one who fell asleep first after all the excitement of the day.

Christmas Afternoon

Time for more presents at Mimi and Pop-Pop's! Emily made the rounds with gifts from everyone, and because even that wasn't enough for her, she had to help everyone else open their gifts too.












When it was time for Mimi and Pop-Pop to open their gifts, Emily was right there to admire them while sipping her seemingly unending tiny cup of tea.






Thanks to Mimi, Pop-Pop, Uncle Rich, Auntie D, Aunt Erin, Uncle John, and Aunt Lauren for all the great gifts! Now it's time for us to head off to our final stop on this great day.

Christmas Morning

This Christmas morning was definitely one to remember! Emily was so excited from the moment she came down the stairs with Daddy, because this is what was waiting for her:

Then it was time to open more presents! To go along with her new easel, Emily got lots of art supplies.





She insisted on opening her new paint brushes right away so she could paint just like Mommy and Daddy:

Later, she opened some play food and insisted on bringing it right into her kitchen.



She was clearly excited to open her new potty seat too. Hopefully it's a sign that potty-training will go smoothly!


Then it was time for Daddy and me to open our presents. Among some other highly exciting gifts, Daddy got a little something from the new baby.


And I got a nice surprise for the new baby!


Once we were finished opening presents, Emily decided it was time to continue her tradition of finishing Santa's cookies.




Now we're off to get ready for our next stop!
