Happy Birthday, Grandpop!

We got together at Mom-Mom and Poppy's to celebrate Grandpop's birthday today. Cousin Jen brought her three kids, which meant Emily and Madelyn finally got to meet. Madelyn is two months and one day older than Emily, and it was so fun watching Emily play with her more "mature" cousin. Just look how well she shared her toys!


Of course Emily was also happy to get some cuddle time with Daddy and Poppy too!

New York Sightseeing

After breakfast with Aunt Lauren this morning, Mimi, Emily and I ventured over to the New York Harbor to check out Olafur Eliasson's Waterfalls exhibition.







And now, after two fun days in the city, it's time to head back home!

Wedding Dress Shopping

Sorry, no peeks at the dress! Just trust me when I say that Erin looked absolutely stunning in it. I just wish we didn't have to wait so long to see her in it again!


After dress shopping, we stopped at Cafeteria for lunch, then hit up Urban Outfitters where Emily couldn't resist trying on something herself!



We ended the day with dinner at Cookshop which seems to be one of our NYC favorites as we'll be back again next month for Uncle Richie's birthday!

Happy 4th of July!

Emily was too tired after the party last night to stay and watch fireworks in Stone Harbor, so fortunately Avalon had their own show tonight. We were able to watch the fireworks right in front of our house, which worked out well because the noise wasn't too loud for Emily. She loved them and just barely took her eyes off long enough for a picture!

Family Day

It was a cold day on the beach, so Family Day 2008 was moved back to our house on the bay. Emily got a chance to "play" with my cousin Kyleigh, who's 2 1/2 months younger. I know they'll be beach buddies in no time!

Happy 90th Birthday, Aunt Betty!

What a great party! We had so much fun celebrating Aunt Betty's milestone birthday, though we had to steal Emily away for some quiet time on the beach. It ended up being perfect timing, since we were there when the plane flew by with a happy birthday wish!
