A New Playground

Since I wasn't busy packing and rushing down to the shore today, I decided to take the girls to a new playground near us instead. Daddy had first told me about it ages ago, but it was only recently that I first spotted it myself, so I've been wanting to check it out with the girls for a while now. When Emily first saw it, well, her reaction did not disappoint. After surveying the scene, she and Kate ran around trying to climb on everything!






After they got all that climbing out of their systems, they set about exploring all the little things, all of which had me wishing our neighborhood playground had more brightly-colored amusements to offer!








Before we got ready to leave, they channeled Uncle Richie and played some beats on the bongos.





Nearby Kate found her all-time favorite playground toy -- the steering wheel -- which soon had both girls fighting over turns with it and had me proclaiming it was time to leave. All that playing wore both of them out, but unfortunately these days only one of them will nap!
