A Fairy Playdate

Now that our neighbor Caitie is no longer in daycare, it means we're able to have more playdates with her during the week. Of course Caitie and Emily have been loving it, but Kate has been enjoying the extra playmate as well.


Today we had Caitie over to our house, and the older girls decided they wanted to play dress-up. Emily wanted to be Cinderella at first, until she saw Caitie dressed as Tinkerbell and decided that's what she wanted to be instead. My solution? I found a pink leotard, pulled out her silver ballet slippers, and told her she could be a fairy named Lilybell. That did the trick! We even had Kate dress up as Katiebell.




When they were bored with being fairies, they moved onto the sand-and-water table, and, for the first time ever, they played in our new-to-us crab sandbox.




I think we're all looking forward to lots more playdates before school starts again!
