Emily had a jam-packed day today, starting with a double birthday party for her best friend Kelly and another classmate, Jimmy. She was also invited to another party this afternoon for her classmate Colin, but I knew we wouldn't be able to squeeze that in because "TODAY IS THE FINAL DAY!" (as Emily said as soon as she woke up this morning), or, in other words, today is finally the day that she gets to join Mom-Mom and Poppy and her Simkiss "cousins" for a holiday high tea at the Four Seasons.
Still, because Kelly is her new favorite friend, I didn't want Emily to miss her birthday party, but it turned out that we might as well have skipped it. It was held at a local bounce place, and Emmy ended up getting completely overwhelmed, especially when other kids tried to barrel past her in the bouncers. She did like the under-3 bouncer and the giant slide, but she spent most of the party sitting on a bench on the sidelines with me. For once she couldn't wait until it was time for pizza -- and the fact that she knew cake would follow made it even better.

Even when she was upset at the party, one thing kept bringing a smile back to her face: knowing it was THE FINAL DAY for the holiday tea!
