Turtle Time!

We have turtles on the brain, thanks to Limu: The Blue Turtle, the book Daddy bought for Emily in Hawaii. Inspired by Limu, we decided to make a turtle card for Pop-Pop, since we were as slow as turtles in sending him birthday wishes. (We did, however, leave him an adorable voicemail which he is sure to replay for anyone willing to listen!) I cut out the turtle shapes from cardstock and had Emmy piece them together and finish it off with googly eyes.





Because that wasn't enough for Emmy, we decided to make our very own Limu by painting a small paper plate, first with green and then with blue. When it dried, we attached the other pieces cut from cardstock using glue dots.








Now Emmy can play with her very own Limu!
