Fall Down the Shore

With almost everyone free for the weekend, my family decided to spend it relaxing together down the shore. (Aunt Lauren, we missed you!) We spent a lazy morning around the house, just taking in the view and watching the girls play.



Later, we took a walk to the boardwalk -- with Aunt Erin, Uncle John, Uncle Richie, and even Pop-Pop playing keep-away along the way -- to check out the beach and play on the playground.






While Kate stayed bundled up close to me, Emily had fun running around the playground. As if playing with Pop-Pop and her aunts and uncles weren't enough, she also made a new friend who was just as happy to have a new playmate as she was.



After all that fun, it was time to head back to the house and find Mimi. Now, instead of keep-away, Emmy had everyone playing red light-green light. Hopefully this means she'll be just as exhausted as the rest of us at bedtime!



It was a perfect fall day at the beach. Our summer days are never this relaxing!
