Tea for Two

Today Emily and I joined Kelly and her mom Marisa for an afternoon of tea and treats at a local spot. Kelly's dad was taking her older sister to a basketball game, and he wanted Kelly to do something special too. So tea with Emily it was.


Emily's "tea" was chocolate milk, and Kelly's was lemonade. They both ordered the mini pastries, but only Emmy finished hers. (I won't even bother feigning surprise.) Meanwhile Kelly turned her nose at the brownie because it was a triangle instead of a square! (In her defense, the sweets were a little gourmet for this twosome.) Four-year-olds are funny creatures.


Adorably funny ones at that. Well, most of the time.
