The transition area was in a park, and since we had a little downtime before the race started, Daddy and Emmy got to play on the swings a bit before it was time to head over to the swim start.
After Daddy set off on the bike leg, the girls and I went to what we called the "little" playground to play. By that, I mean Emily played while Katie watched from the stroller.

After playing a bit, we went out of the park to catch Daddy on the bike...
...before going back to check out the "big" playground.
We went back out of the park to watch Daddy finish his bike and start his run, while Emily kicked back and relaxed.
Daddy stopped over for a kiss while Emmy was trying to find her cowbell. It wasn't until after Daddy turned the corner out of our sight that she started ringing it and cheering "Go Daddy Go!" but he later told us he still heard her. We then gathered up our blanket and went back to the big playground until it was time to head over to the finish line to wait for Daddy.
At the finish line, Emily cheered and rang her bell while Katie tried her best to stay awake and watch Daddy finish, without much luck. She was falling asleep just as we saw Daddy sprinting towards the end.

Katie may have missed it, but Daddy and Emmy were all smiles at the finish!
